Applicant will support all accounting and payroll functions for the Accounting and Human Resources Department.
Duties include:
- Abide by all internal A/HR policies, procedures and confidentiality.
- Processing, maintenance and filing of A/P.
- Maintenance and filing of vendor/ contractor files.
- Processing, maintenance and filing of A/R.
- Processing A/R statements, collection calls, and letters for outstanding accounts receivables.
- Processing, maintenance and filing of Journal Entries.
- Reconciliations of all Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
- Preparation of both departmental as well as company financial statements on a monthly basis.
- Support of all payroll related functions.
- Maintenance of other Accounting and payroll related databases/ spreadsheets as directed.
- Regular daily accounting matters.
- Miscellaneous tax matters including Sales and Property Tax returns.
- Provide exceptional internal and external customer service.
- Considerable paperwork is a necessary and important part of the position. Timely and quality submission of paperwork is essential.
- Provide services consistent with organizational values and mission.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/ Requirements:
- 5 years accounting experience
- Maintain reliable transportation and necessary insurance.
- Clean driving record.
- Definite QuickBooks Pro experience.
- Experience in G/L; A/P, A/R, JEs, account reconciliations and processing financials required.
- Payroll experience using ADP or Intuit software preferred.
- Computer to include strong background in MS Excel, MS Word, data-entry and 10-key by touch required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Independent and self-directed. Collaborative teamwork style.
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to remain flexible with all job duties.
- Professional manner and positive attitude.
